Team CVR is delighted to announce their bid to compete in the 2009 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship sponsored by Cartridge World. The concept CVR have pushed towards over the last few years is to use motor sport to highlight and expand a more environmentally conscious way of operating. This is why CVR are proud to be sponsored by Cartridge World who themselves have a strong environmental ethic within their business practice. As stated on their website, millions of litres of oil could be saved with more people using Cartridge World's services (and over 47 million cartridges could be saved from being buried in landfills along with customers saving money).

Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing's launch was held on the 9th of June at the Transport Research Laboratory in Berkshire attracting a range of media interest along with associated industries and sponsors relevant to the team’s environmental directive. Team Principal Colin Neill highlighted many of these issues as well as introducing a number of their main sponsors and their relevant business aims. Considering the environmental impact of motor-sport and how it will play a strong a part of the teams development, the studies that will be undertaken into their carbon footprint by the Carbon Zero Group will be the most comprehensive to be applied in a motor racing team. In essence this is creating a blueprint for the future of motor-sport and will hopefully have an effect on all aspects of the wider automobile industry.

After the introduction was concluded, guests at the launch were invited to take a spin on the test track with CVR's drivers Dan Eaves and Phiroze Bilimoria in a road going look-a-like version of the team race car in race inspired title sponsor livery. Watch this Space!
