Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing left the Oulton Park Circuit having had a busy weekend both on track and off, with two days of promotional activity with the team’s commercial partners. Colin Neill Team Principal said “ We’ve had a good weekend with total reliability from the cars , obviously we would have liked to get a few more points but we are moving forward as a team. There are always going to be challenges during a race weekend and it is how you react and handle them that is important, we changed a few things since Donington and it has worked well for us this weekend. We had some minor issues with the mapping on the new engines, but are happy the car, it is well suited to the circuit which showed through the speed traps and in Adam’s qualifying position. Four weekends into the season and we are on track with our development program, if Dan had not had bad luck at Thruxton and Donington we would be flying in the standings. He has only started or finished around 50% of races, so when you put that it perspective, we are doing very well.” Standings – Driver Championship – Overall - Adam Jones 7th, Dan Eaves 15th, Independent - Adam Jones 5th, Dan Eaves 12th Team Championship Overall - 6th Independent 5th Summary from Dan Eaves, “It’s been a little frustrating this weekend I didn’t get to post good times in qualifying which put me down the grid for the first race. I’m pleased to have had some track time here and the car is very fast with great reliability, we just had some minor issues with the engine mapping, which meant we couldn’t push it over the whole circuit. Adam Jones stated, “I was pleased with how things went in the two practice sessions and qualifying, we suffered a little in the races, as I was hoping for podium here as the car is very fast. We clocked up a few points and now need to push for more at Croft.” |
